               Neva Masquerade Siberians
The Neva Masquerade cat is a pointed variation of the Siberian cat.

It is named after the Neva River in St. Petersburg which is the area the breed was first developed back in the late ’80s. They always have amazing blue eyes.

Due to the specificity of their coloration and the high cost of importing cats from Russia, these cats are exceedingly rare.

Often, these cats are described as having dog-like personalities. They get very attached to their people and love to follow them around the house.

Due to their “wilder” nature, the Neva Masquerade is exceptionally playful. They are also very athletic.

Weight: 10 – 20 pounds (males are larger)
Lifespan: 12-16 years
Temperament: Playful, people-oriented, friendly
Height: 10 – 12 inches

The Siberian cat has the reputation of being hypoallergenic, but beware, this word does not mean non-allergenic (which does not cause allergy). It only means that they have a low tendency of causing any allergic reaction as a result of their low FEL D1 level.

The Siberian cat is the most hypoallergenic cat breed, that is to say that they have little allergenic. This is why it can be adapted to people who are normally allergic to cats. Siberian naturally produces little of the allergenic protein FEL D1, responsible for allergies for 85% of people allergic to cats.
Hypoallergenic simply means relatively unlikely to cause an allergic reaction.
